8. Pedestal and Pedestal Combo
EHA Pedestal machines are a stark contrast to the uprights — a third of the weight of a Megacade and more easily moved. The Pedestal achieves its weight reduction by not having a built-in TV; the user must supply their own.
Pedestal Combo: In a standard Pedestal, the computer is housed in the bottom cabinet. In a Pedestal Combo, the computer is housed in the joystick/control panel (like a GameBox), allowing the user to remove the panel from the base and take it to another room or home.
Pedestal Overview
- 2-player: 36" W x 28" D x 39" H, 80 lbs. 4-player: 48" W x 29" D x 39" H, 95 lbs.
- No built-in TV — user supplies any size (65", 80", etc.).
- User must set up display in Windows.
- Comes on wheels — can store under a wall-mounted TV. Upgradeable from Amazon.
- Quality sound system with subwoofer, accepts headphones, upgradeable PC.
- Can use "battleship" joystick/control panel.
- Can accommodate light guns — user must install LEDs on TV themselves.
- Supports all external peripherals as uprights. Wide 4-player field.
- Can accommodate passive and/or active marquees on machine or wall.

Pedestal Positives
- Lighter and easier to move than an upright. Choose any TV size — easy to replace if needed.
- Wheels allow storage under a wall-mounted TV. Supports all peripherals.
- Less expensive than Megacade. Pedestal Combo adds portable GameBox-like flexibility.
Pedestal Negatives
- Not all-in-one — user supplies TV and sets up display, light gun LEDs, and Wii light bar.
- Small cabinet — tight to work on computer, potential heat concerns.
- Marquee on machine may interfere with light guns/Wii (mount on wall to avoid).
