Donkey Kong 64 is a 1999 3D platform game developed by Rare for the Nintendo 64. Five playable Kongs must retrieve their musical instruments from King K. Rool and collect a massive array of items across sprawling worlds. It was the first Nintendo 64 game to require the Expansion Pak and is noted for its enormous scope, though later criticized for its collectathon structure.
